Knowledge about fungal diversity in Jalisco has been generated through various research contributions made in different municipalities throughout the state; however, there are still regions where taxonomic and ecological studies are required. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for the state to release new records that increase fungal diversity. The review of specimens from the mycological collection of the IBUG herbarium from various municipalities was carried out. The macro and micromorphological implemented following routine techniques in mycology, using specialized bibliography for its determination. Five new records were provided for Jalisco, four of which belong to the Basidiomycota division (Battarrea phalloides, Lentinellus ursinus, Russula delica var. centroamericana y Tricholoma caligatum) and one from Ascomycota (Trichoglossum hirsutum). The taxonomic description and brief discussion of the taxa, including photographs of some of the species, are presented. This is one more contribution to the knowledge of fungi in the state of Jalisco and mycobiota in Mexico.
